Electronic signature
Leeway runs its own signing service on sign.leeway-im.com. It uses DocuSeal, open-source signing software, hosted by Leeway on the same EU server as the ERP. Your document is not sent to a third-party signing company.
What you do
Section titled “What you do”- Open the work order link from Leeway. While a signature is pending, the page shows Sign and a line naming who it waits for.
- Click Sign. The signing page opens in a new tab on sign.leeway-im.com.
- Read the document. The fields to fill are in the Approval section: your signature and the date.
- Draw or type your signature. On a phone you can draw it with your finger.
- Click Submit. You see a confirmation page.
If several people sign, the client approver signs first and Leeway’s lead signs after. Each signer has a personal link. Do not forward it.
What you receive
Section titled “What you receive”- The work order is approved as soon as everyone has signed. The approval date is the date of your signature.
- The signed PDF and an audit log are stored with the work order. The audit log records who opened and signed the document and when, from which address and device.
- Ask Leeway for a copy of the signed PDF and the audit log at any time.
Your PDF reader may say the signature certificate is not on its trusted list. The certificate belongs to Leeway’s own signing service rather than a public certificate authority. The document is still signed and any later change to it is detectable.
Simple signature on the page
Section titled “Simple signature on the page”When a work order is not sent for electronic signature, the page offers Accept and Sign instead. You enter your name and draw or type your signature in the browser. The ERP stores the signature, the name and the time, and the signed PDF goes with the order. This is a simple electronic signature without an audit log.
If you decline
Section titled “If you decline”Click Decline on the signing page or the share page and give a reason. The work order stays as it was, and Leeway contacts you.
Odoo counterpart: Online signatures to confirm orders. Odoo’s own Sign app is part of Odoo Enterprise and is not used by Leeway: Odoo Sign.
